2018, another year, another opportunity to create positive change in the relocation industry, grow an incredible team, and celebrate achievements. We accomplished (and celebrated) so much this January. Here are just a few from a long list of Updater accomplishments — and one major milestone.

Updater turned 6!

This January was a major milestone for us at Updater, we officially turned 6 years old! Though we’re young and we’ve made our fair share of mistakes along the way, we’ve been incredibly successful and would like to thank everyone we’ve met on this amazing journey! Partnered with Realty Executives International

This month, we kicked off our partnership with Realty Executives International, one of the largest and most established real estate franchises in the United States, with over 8,000 agents and 500 offices across the globe. Updater is excited to work with REI to assist brokerages across the country in streamlining and simplifying their clients’ moving process.

Attended Inman Connect NY and Leading RE Conference

This month we attended two of our favorite yearly conferences. Held in our hometown, Inman Connect NY never disappoints — we connected and had great meetings with current partners, prospects, and other vendors in the space. A big thanks to Caroline Bass, and The Bass Team at Corcoran Group, for the wonderful shout out during her Inman presentation on marketing strategies. She presented pre- and post-closing marketing ideas, including making sure that all real estate agents leverage Updater during the process.

Later in the month, we also attended the Leading RE Conference which brings together the world’s best and brightest independent real estate brokerages to network and innovate with like-minded professionals.

Shared the Top 15 Moving Destinations in the Washington Post

This month we partnered with The Washington Post to get the word out about where people in America are moving to the most. Based on Updater’s annual moving destinations report that ranks the top 15 most moved-to metro areas, The Washington Post released an article highlighting the most popular geographic areas for movers in 2017. Held our triannual offsite

Every few months, our entire team gets together in NYC to recap what different Updater teams are working on and review our annual priorities and goals. It’s also a great time to reconnect with our remote team members, get to know new coworkers, and kick back and enjoy the company of the smart and amazing individuals we work alongside. Below are a few photos from our offsite. And yes, we had just as much as fun as it looks!

Our Founder and CEO was named a Real Estate Trendsetter

We’re extremely proud to announce that our Founder and CEO, David Greenberg, was named to the SP2018 Trendsetters list — a yearly list compiled by the Swanepoel T3 Group. This list identifies and celebrates innovators, dealmakers, and movers-and-shakers who have made a significant impact on the real estate industry over the past year. Congrats, David!
