Yup, it’s official. Updater’s Union Square headquarters has doubled in size!

After a seven-month build out, we’re incredibly proud to announce that we’ve officially expanded to the 6th floor at 19 Union Square West! Our People Experience Team has been working tirelessly to make sure our new space is everything we need and more. And boy, did they deliver! To commemorate their hard work and this company milestone, we held a grand opening party adorned with balloons, personalized succulents, and welcome notes on every desk, and last but not least, a fantastic breakfast complete with an omelet bar. Does it get any better than that? We think not.

Our team was simply in awe of the big reveal. From our spacious new conference rooms to our fully-stocked kitchen, to the amazing mural of our beloved Updateers throughout the years (Shout out to our awesome Brand Designer, Bumhan Yu for that one!) we think we’re going to like it here.

Without further ado, step inside Updater’s brand new 6th floor digs.

We started off the day right with our yummy breakfast and office-warming gifts!

We paused from all the chatty excitement for just a moment to hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Our Founder and CEO, David, chuckled saying, “I didn’t realize they actually made scissors this big.” Before the big snip, he reminded us of Updater’s humble beginnings — working with engineers out of his studio apartment in the West Village. The opening of this floor was a testament to how far the entire company has come, and how it wouldn’t be possible without our amazing team.

Once the ribbon was cut, an even bigger surprise was in store. Our people experience super stars, (the women behind the magic) Ashley & Ricki, pulled back the sheets to reveal an outstanding mural of everyone at Updater throughout the years. The team excitedly rushed over to spot photos of their most cherished Updater memories.

After all was said and done, it was time to do what we do best — move! Here’s our Success Team making a smooth transition from the 12th floor shortly after the celebration.

Our exciting announcement would not be complete without a major shoutout to all who tirelessly worked, for months, on this build out. Ashley, Lindsey, Ricki, and Madison thank you for making our new floor immediately feel like home. Michael and James, thank you for ensuring that all of our state-of-the-art technology is on par, and thank you Jenna and B for the added design inspiration you have brought to our new crib.
