Meet Updater: Ella Creedy-Hall, Customer Experience Associate

Where did you grow up?

San Francisco, CA

How many times have you moved?

Probably five or six. Three of which were cross-country moves.

Do you have a moving horror story?

Every time I’ve moved it’s been a nightmare, just in a different way each time. In college, I had to move during Hurricane Irene – that was wild.

What are two personal tidbits about you?

I studied abroad in Morocco and I have a tiny dog named Dave.

What’s the best part about working on a small team?

I think small teams have to get super creative and collaborative which is fun to be a part of.

What’s your go-to afternoon sugar rush?

Swedish Fish

What’s the most interesting thing you have at your desk at the moment?

My rock collection!

What’s your favorite quote?

“Here for a good time, not a long time.”

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up and why?

I wanted to be a professional ballerina because I was obsessed with tutus!

You just joined the circus, what’s your talent?

I actually did go to circus camp and I was a stilt walker.

Have you ever gotten really lost? What happened?

Growing up my family did a lot of backpacking in Death Valley, and we would constantly lose track of where we parked the car. It would happen at least 2 days every trip.

What’s the largest item you’ve ever had to carry in the subway?

A Christmas tree

What's your favorite part about living in NYC?

All my friends live here! Plus, there’s no hills. (I grew up in San Francisco.)

What drew you to work at Updater?

I like working for companies that I think are solving a real problem.

If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life what would it be and why?

Burritos. After all, there's most food groups in burritos, right?
