Do you have a moving horror story?

Not yet, but that’s likely because my wife does all the coordinating and organizing.

What’s your best piece of moving advice?

Always keep the original boxes for your electronics. Your TV is much safer in its original box than it is in one of those one-size-fits-all TV boxes.

What’s the largest item you’ve ever had to carry on the subway?

My laptop bag… I’m not a New Yorker, and so I try and travel light when I’m here.

How many times have you moved?

I’ve moved 4 times, half of which were cross-country (New Jersey to Washington and back).

You’re about to move. What would you make sure to never do again?

I would never wait until the last minute to pack again. You never realize how much stuff you have until you’re packing. It’s a surefire way to end up having to get rid of stuff you didn’t intend to.

What’s your favorite thing about working at Updater?

The people are fantastic and really care about one another.

How did you come to work at Updater?

I was working with a recruiter who I told I wanted to find a place in which I could grow, where the people came first. He found me exactly that.

What’s the best part about working on a small team?

The ability to get to know everyone really well and work cohesively.

What motivates you to come to work every day?

The team is awesome — an absolutely great bunch of people I’m always excited to see.

It’s the apocalypse. Where do you hide?

I’m sorry. I can’t give you that information.

Which actor/actress would play you in a movie about your life?

Charlie Day could probably do a decent job. He doesn’t have my rugged good looks, but I’m sure he’d do his best.

You have a time machine, but you can only make one trip. Where do you go?

One trip meaning one way? Probably 1775 Philadelphia.

You can only eat one food for the rest of your life. What is it?

Bacon.

What do you do to unwind?

I watch a lot of movies, golf, hunt, and fish.

If you could travel to work every day on a vehicle without wheels (think: hovercraft, broom), what would you choose?

Commuting via horse would be cool.

What’s your favorite fast food restaurant?

Taco Bell could take over the world if they delivered.

What are 4 things you can’t live without?

My wife, my dogs Penny and Riley, and an hour without electronics every day.

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in Southern New Jersey, about midway between Philadelphia and Atlantic City.

What are 2 personal tidbits about you?

I have 2 dogs, Penny (the Corgi) and Riley (the Husky/Corgi mix), that are basically my life outside of work. Also, I used to be a pole vaulter in high school.
