February at Updater: Amazing Videos and Candy Hearts
Life, and of course work, moves fast at Updater. Between new employees, Valentine’s Day, and conferences, it was a busy month! Here are a few highlights (and videos) straight from Updater HQ.
We welcomed a few new employees
This month, a few new Updateers joined our squad. Yamini Kumawat joined our Success Team, while Deborah Tampubolon took up residence with the Marketing Team. We’re thrilled to have them on board and excited, as always, for the Updater family to add rockstar professionals to our roster!
We launched not one, but three recruiting videos
Because you can’t hire amazing employees without highlighting your incredible company culture, we thought it was time for us to update our recruiting videos. We produced and launched not one, not two, but three videos — all highlighting our first-in-class company culture. Check out our company-wide Updater video, our Product and Engineering Teams video, and, of course, our blooper reel.
We celebrated Valentine’s Day
We’re a loving bunch, and Ashley — our People Experience Manager — never passes up an opportunity to make us feel appreciated and loved. Just look at the cuteness we all arrived to the morning of the 14th! We also discovered that the wife of one of our engineers (who will remain nameless) has a killer sense of humor. Our Insurance Division is hiring
Updater’s Insurance Division has a beautiful office down in Charlottesville, VA, led by our Executive Vice President, Chris Burke. We’re currently hiring three engineering positions, and yes, they’ll get all the benefits of these gorgeous new digs.
Our Pupdaters are now dressed to impress
We’re a stylish bunch, but our Pupdaters have put us to shame! This month, the doggie squad of Updater was decked out in chic handkerchiefs, designed specifically for them. If that’s not a dapper dog, we don’t know what is!
We were featured in BuiltIn NYC, twice!
Our amazing marketing team (yes, we’re tooting our own horn) was featured in BuitIn NYC, highlighting our Director of Marketing, Jenna Weinerman, chatting about what makes for a successful marketing team and how to inspire creativity.
Our very own Pupdater, Rory, was also highlighted as one of the cutest office dogs in NYC! Go Rory, we’re so proud of you!
We mixed and mingled at a few conferences
Early in the month, our team attended the Multifamily Social Media Summit in Napa, CA. The conference is the only event in the industry specifically tailored for property management companies to dive deep into social media, content marketing, and how they relate to retention and attracting new residents.
Our team also had a great time attending the NAA Campus Connex Conference dedicated to student housing in Orlando, FL. We had a chance to connect with current partners, prospects, and vendors in the student housing industry. We were especially moved by Afdehl Aziz and his powerful keynote speech on the power of purpose.
Later in the month, our team attended the Keller Williams Family Reunion in Anaheim, CA. With about 150,000 agents, Keller Williams is the largest real estate franchise in the world by agent count. Over the course of four days, our team spoke with hundreds of agents and team leaders, educating them on how Updater can streamline the moving process for their buyers, sellers, and renters. A huge welcome to all Keller Williams Market Centers and agents who are the latest members of the Updater family!
