Do I need to take a driving test?
You will need to pass a road test, knowledge test, and vision test before receiving your North Dakota driver’s license. You can schedule a road test appointment here.
Is there a fee?
Ah, the age old question. You will pay a total of $25: $5 for a knowledge test, $5 for a road test, and $15 for the license.

When do I need to register my vehicle?
You need to register your vehicle within 90 days of moving to North Dakota.
Is there a fee?

Is an emission test required?
No, but there are perks for driving a green vehicle. However, you will need to pass a vehicle inspection.
Is proof of liability insurance required?
