Recap: 2018 NAA Apartmentalize Conference and Expo
Just this past week, the Updater team attended the 2018 NAA Apartmentalize Conference and Expo in sunny San Diego! With records of over 10,000 attendees and keynote speakers like Mike Rowe from Discovery Channel’s Dirty Jobs, and the Founder & Chairman of Monument Capital Management (and former New York Yankee), Alex Rodriguez – NAA hosted the largest show in the property management industry, and we were thrilled to be a part of it.
This year’s NAA Apartmentalize was extra special for us as we hosted two educational sessions! Our very own Regional Vice President, Greg Toomey spoke alongside Lia Nichole Smith of SatisFacts and ApartmentRatings, and Dana Pate of Matrix Residential, to discuss how their companies reinvented themselves by questioning the status quo. Also, Ash Bell, EVP of Real Estate for Updater’s Insurance Division, hosted a panel titled, “Maximizing the ROI of Service-Based Amenities,” featuring Virginia Love of Waterton Residential, Michael DeFrang of Banner Property Management, and Kelley Shannon of Bozzuto Group. These multifamily experts did an incredible job sharing their tips and tricks for successfully navigating the industry.
Throughout the week, members of our team spent time meeting with some of our amazing clients and partners, learning about up-and-coming industry trends, and doing what we do best – spreading the word about Updater and showing off some exciting feature updates!
Also, for the second year in a row, we had the opportunity to sponsor the highly anticipated 3 Dogwood Night Concert alongside our friends at ePremium Insurance, Dogwood Building Supply, ALN, Mohawk, Arbor, APTEXX, Package Concierge, AAPCO, Debt Logic, Residential Waste Service, and EQUIFAX at the House of Blues. Filled with live entertainment, awesome giveaways, and great people, it was a night to remember.
