Do you have a moving horror story?
What's your best piece of moving advice?
Roll your clothes instead of folding them. Believe me, it's better!
You're about to move. What would you make sure to never do again?
I would never do it alone again! I've done it a few times. Not worth it! I would let the professional movers do what they do.
What do you see as the biggest problem in the moving industry?
I’ve worked with many SMBs and local-focused startups that are constantly trying to find a targeted channel through which to find voice with local communities. At the same time, I've worked with real estate brokerages and property managers looking for new value to bring to their local customers. The connection is there! If only there was a technology to help facilitate that integration…
What's the best part about working on a small team?
(Cue the Cheers theme song.) It really is an incredible experience to work in such a tight-knit community. I felt welcome the first moment I walked into the office and that feeling has never waned.
What motivates you to come to work every day?
I believe strongly in what Updater is doing and I believe in the people doing it. The Updater team is incredible. It's extremely motivating to be part of such a talented group.
If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?
"As" by Stevie Wonder.
What do you do to unwind?
I play guitar.
What's your favorite Saturday Night Live skit?
Celebrity Jeopardy — when Norm McDonald as Burt Reynolds wears a big hat… ‘cause it's funny… ‘cause it's a big hat.
With which same-sex celebrity (note: same-sex!) would you wrestle and in what substance?
I would wrestle Eli Manning in a pool of his own tears.
Where did you grow up?
I was Born in Larchmont, New York. I spent my elementary school years in Baltimore and then my junior high and high school years in Philadelphia.
What are 2 random/personal tidbits about you?
Last year I drove around the country, visiting 31 states and 8 national parks in the process.
I have a romantic relationship with Google Sheets.
