Meet Updater’s first-ever Head of Public Relations, James Pearson! James has an impressive background and over a decade of experience working with industry-defining companies including Razorfish, Audible Amazon, Grooveshark, and most recently, Shazam. Bringing James on to tell the world about Updater and its amazing growth was a no-brainer. In his own words, here’s a little about James and his favorite things about working at Updater.
Where did you grow up?
As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A pilot, but PR is pretty cool, too.

Only use a licensed agent who uses Updater. If not – stay where you are!
You're about to move. What would you make sure to never do again?
I’d make sure that I never moved again unless of course, I used Updater.
What's your favorite thing about working at Updater?
My favorite thing about working at Updater is the company culture and the overall product. I couldn’t be more excited about being appointed Updater's first Head of Public Relations during such an exciting time for the company.

What's the best part about working on a small team?
When you’re working on a small team, you really get to see the impact that you’re having on the company.
What motivates you to come to work every day?
To get Updater the press it deserves!

Cracker Barrel but my mom must be present and move seats several times based on the AC.

My iPhone, CNN, my car, and of course, mind changing PR.

I’ve never owned a pair of jeans and I despise failure, the subway, and mops.
