May was National Moving Month, and a busy month it was! Here are a few highlights, accomplishments, and our big expansion announcement.

We Held One Epic Offsite

Three times a year, our whole team comes together in NYC to update each other on what the different Updater teams are working on. We go over our priorities and the game plan for the remainder of the year while also celebrating our successes. This offsite, we welcomed more than a dozen new employees to our team, split up for group dinners at over a dozen restaurants, and had a literal field day on Roosevelt Island (complete with matching shirts, tug-o-war, and tons of other challenges). We Attended the AAA Trade Show and the AIM Conference

This month we attended the Atlanta Apartment Association (AAA) trade show. This year’s conference theme was “Once Upon a Time,” complete with prince and toad costumes! Updateers Greg Toomey and Michael Negron met with nearly a dozen clients at the event. While in Atlanta, they also seized the opportunity for a few site visits.

Earlier in the month, our multifamily team joined over 500 participants at the Apartment Internet Marketing (AIM) Conference. Founded in 2005, AIM covers topics such as digital marketing, resident retention, and social media. The conference was a great way to reconnect with clients and spread the Updater gospel. We also held an impressive happy hour that (as usual) wowed the crowd. Check out a few images, from both events, below.

We Celebrated Intern Appreciation Night

It’s always bittersweet when we say farewell to a class of interns, and this semester was no different. To say a big “Thank You” to our interns this spring, we surprised them with a side-splitting trip to the Comedy Cellar (and pre-show tacos). Thank you Brianna and Ben, you will be missed! Emily, we’re excited to have you join us as a full-time Updateer starting in June!

This May we also welcomed an impressive class of summer interns — a big warm welcome to Haley, Liz, Naomi, and Kelly!

We Released 4 Videos for National Moving Month

With May being the official start of the moving season, we released 4 amazing moving tips videos to help movers conqueror their upcoming moves. A big shoutout to intern Brianna for her amazing commitment to this project. We Announced the Expansion of Our NYC HQ

As you’ve probably noticed over the past few months, our team is rapidly growing — so much so that this month we announced the expansion of our NYC headquarters. You can check out all the details here and view a sneak peek of the buildout progress below.

We Welcomed new Pupdaters to the family!!!

If there is one thing we really make a big deal about at Updater, it’s puppies! This month we welcomed our newest pups, Marco and Juni. Welcome to the fam, little pals!
