We hate to say it, but you'll need to visit the Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles in person. You can prepare online, but you must go to a Driver's License Office to complete the process.

  • Proof of identity and date of birth
  • Proof of lawful presence
  • Proof of your current Colorado residence

Do I need to take a driving test?

Nope. Save your real driving skills for the road. You will, however, have to pass a vision exam.

Ah, the age old question. Colorado charges a $21.00 fee to purchase a new license.
